After sharing wisdom in 2020 and re-igniting your enthusiasm in 2021, the Waikato Womens Fund is here to help you ‘RISE’ above any 2022 doldrums and to share in our commitment to supporting women and girls in the Waikato.
In partnership with Tompkins Wake, our signature fundraising high tea 'Waahine Toa: RISE' is back and is going to be an event you won't want to miss.
We can't wait to share another afternoon with our friends and members, hosted by our MC for the event, the energetic and dynamic Jan-Maree Franicevic. We are looking forward to hearing from our inspirational guest speakers:
Stacey McIntosh, a leading local entrepreneur and founder of local clothing company, Harrie and Sam;
Te Waka McLeod, sharing her journey in community development and commitment to standing up for the issues that matter;
Sarai Bareman, FIFA Chief Women's Football Officer.
In addition to our speakers and a scrumptious high tea supplied by Montana Catering, the afternoon will include live and silent auctions, with a collection of wonderful items and experiences donated by supportive businesses from across our mighty region.
All proceeds raised at Waahine Toa: RISE will add to our endowment Fund, and help provide for grants to organisations that support women and girls in their communities to achieve their aspirations.
We are proud to be partnering with Tompkins Wake to stage this event and pleased to be supported by Craigs Investment Partners, Soda Inc, Montana, IT Partners, Brian Perry Charitable Trust and Harcourts as well as our wonderful auction donors!

The Waikato Women’s Fund is a giving circle operating under the umbrella of Momentum Waikato Community Foundation’s regional endowment, with the resulting investment income supplying funds to disburse through grants to worthy organisations. Our committee of volunteers work to achieve the Fund's goals by growing the fund, making grants, and celebrating women and girls across the Waikato region.
